How did drivers and team owners with New England connections do at the Circuit of the Americas

In the NASCAR Camping World Trucks Boston’s Kaz Grala earned a second place behind the winner Todd Gilland.

Kyle Busch won the Xfinity Series race while Brett Moffitt came in 12th.  Moffit drives the Xfinity series entry owned by Cape Cod’s Chris Our, a building contractor,  who resides in W. Harwich, MA.
In the NASCAR Cup Series Chase Elliott won that event which was called due to rain with only 14 laps to go.  Middletown, CT’s Joey Logano, a consistent top five driver, ended the day in third place.  Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 15th while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT placed 18th.  Randy LaJoie ended his day in 20th.  LaJoie is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy Lajoie who is a Norwalk, CT native.
The NASCAR Circus now moves to the Charlotte Motor Speedway over the Memorial Day weekend.
