Break out the earplugs, Formula E is returning to the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn in 2021.
Wait. These are all-electric open-wheel racers. No engine noise to speak of. Hold the earplugs.

The FIA on Tuesday unveiled the remainder of the 2021 season, and the record 15-race season will include a doubleheader in Brooklyn on July 10-11. Formula E previously made stops in New York in 2017, 2018, and 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic led to cancellation of the New York event in 2020.
As an added incentive this season, Formula E drivers are competing not only for race wins and the series championship, but also FIA Super License points. Drivers wishing to race in Formula 1 need to earn 40 Super License points over a three-year period. Winning the Formula E championship is worth 30 of those points, second place in the season championship is worth 25 points, third place is worth 20 points. Top 10 in the season points earn Super License points down to ond point for a 10th-place finish.
