The announcers were predicting the possibility of wrecks when the cars came off turns 2 and 4, but it never happened.
With the exception of JJ’s nose job, the drivers minded their manners and it was relatively quiet the whole night.

Kevin Harvick’s win at Daytona over the weekend puts him in strong contention for the Sprint Cup Championship. Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson, also with strong finishes at Daytona, are now behind Harvick as the Cup Series hit the half-way mark. Harvick, to his credit, has succeeded in making the Chase To The Nextel Cup very interesting at this point in time. For up until the end of March, it appeared that it was going to be an easy drive to another championship for JJ and company.

An announcement this morning at Talladega Superspeedway was to inform the media that plans are to re-pave the Daytona International Speedway after the July Coke Zero 400 race weekend. The historic project to be completed in time for Speedweeks in 2011 and was announced by track Presedent Robin Braig.
