Carl Edwards’ winning of the Kobalt Tools 400 in Vegas puts another driver in contention for the Sprint Cup Championship, provided he continues with consistent finishes. And speaking of consistency, JR’s eighth place gives his fans hope that things might be turning around for NASCAR’s most popular driver. The goal in the Roush Ford camp and elsewhere is to dethrone Jimmie Johnson’s effort to take a sixth title. JJ’s past successes have turned off more than a few NASCAR fans.

This weekend’s finale at Homestead for the Chase To The Sprint Cup will be a cliffhanger, and Brian France’s grin of last week has more than likely turned into an ear-to-ear smile this week!
The changes that France previously made have given all three contending drivers the capability of winning the points championship.
Needless to say that The Chase has increased the interest of NASCAR fans far and wide.
