Sunday is a full day of racing action, what with the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600… 1100 miles of grueling IndyCar and NASCAR racing action for you to enjoy.

On the local front, that was indeed my “local” Kentucky Speedway that was snapped up by Bruton Smith and SMI yesterday. I’m going to be positive and hope that Bruton will do good things for the track and this state. Hopefully he will take care of the employees of the track, who have been extremely kind to me each of the times I was at the track covering racing.

One semi-cool personal note… I got to ask Bruton a question yesterday at the press conference, so everyone at the Lowes’ press conference, and dialed in to the conference call, got to hear “MotorSportsNews.Net” (actually they had it as .com, but I corrected it). I don’t know if that will do anything for the site or not, but it surely can’t hurt. A certain other editor for the site was known to be texting some Cup team members there at Charlotte, and those folks were texting Chad Knaus all the updates from the conference. Cool stuff there, too. Congrats, Heather.

Enjoy your weekend of racing, and I’ll be back around Monday, June 2nd.
