TV Times - Flat TV Ratings For Martinsville

The Martinsville overnight TV Ratings for the Cup race were the same as last year. NASCAR on Fox tallied a 4.9/10 that Sunday for racing from Martinsville. The 4.9/10 is flat with last year’s Martinsville rating (4.9/11), but in this case that’s good news given the dramatically tougher competition faced by this year’s event.   TV Times, by Lou Modestino

Track Trash – Texazz Two Step

  The long green runs today cut the ‘on lead lap’ drivers to a sorry few. And it diminished the number of Lucky Dogs, which may be a good thing. In the old days, if you wanted to get back on the lead lap, you had to prove yourself by blowing the doors off the leaders. But NA$CAR has changed….they don’t have doors any more.

Busch Closes Deal In Texas, Wins O’Reilly 300

Kyle Busch won the Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto parts 300 at the Texas Motor Speedway by holding off Jeff Burton to claim the twelfth series win of his career.

“It’s great to bring Toyota to Victory Lane”, Said Busch. “It’s so hard to win at this place. I want to thank my fans for sticking with me. We’ve been through some tough times in the Nationwide Series.”
