Round Seven of NASCAR Championship Headed To Peach State

The haulers are headed to the heart of Dixie for the continuation of the NASCAR championship battle. Four of the 12 playoff teams still have the crown in plain sight, but the chance for a championship this year might be over for the other eight drivers in the Chase for the Cup when their haulers leave Atlanta.

The top-two positions have belonged to Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson since the beginning of the ten-race championship challenge and it continues to look like the 24 and 48 teams have the best odds of winning the big prize. Johnson trails his teammate and car-owner, Jeff Gordon, by 53 points.

Frank and Bill Kimmel Part Ways with Tri-State Motorsports After 9th ARCA RE/MAX Championship

After winning their ninth ARCA RE/MAX Series championship, Frank Kimmel and Tri-State Motorsports have parted ways.

Kimmel, along with his brother and long-time crew chief Bill Kimmel, will compete in the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series under the Kimmel Racing banner as co-owners of the new race team. A car number and primary sponsor for the new team have not been determined.
