In an article written by J.J. O’Malley, RacingOne contributor, he reports that Darrell Waltrip, who was appearing Tuesday on the Daytona 500 Champions Chat Series delivered by UPS, confirmed the sale of his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team to concentrate on the NASCAR Nationwise Series in 2008.

Earnhardt Jr. – Atlanta a Microcosm of His Season
Once again, Dale Jr. was running up front during a race. Jr. had overcome mistakes and problems all day to run through the field with a fast car and seemed destined to walk away with a top 5 at Atlanta.
But his engine had a different plan.
TV Times - M’ville Cup Ratings Down; Truck Ratings Up
ABC’s broadcast of that Sunday’s Subway 500 NASCAR Cup race at Martinsville Speedway earned a Nielsen Media Research rating of 3.3, Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Daily Smith’s SportsBusiness Daily reports.
The figure is 5.7 percent lower than the 3.5 NBC earned overnight for its broadcast of the race in 2006.
That’s the bad news. Now here’s some good news.
