I didn’t see the end of the race myself, but I have read several recaps of the race at Phoenix, and the actions of the #24 team in having Jeff Gordon drive around with a #3 flag, as a “tribute” to Jeff tying the number of Cup wins that Dale Earnhardt (Sr.) has.
