Labonte Holds off Stewart For Dega Win
Casey Mears saw a Busch series win slip away in the draft as a late race caution and a green, white checker finish allowed Bobby Labonte to move from the seventh position to the point besting Mears, and just edging KHI teammate Tony Stewart for his first series win since 1998.

Last Call for Today’s NASCAR Race Car at Talladega
Sunday’s run at Talladega will be the last performance of what we have watched evolve into the NASCAR stock car for the Nextel Cup division. The superspeedway will become the first restrictor-plate track to host the new Car of Tomorrow racing machine when teams return to Alabama in October.
