DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 16, 2009) – NASCAR announced today the schedule for the third season of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, which will take the series to some of the top racing facilities throughout Canada.

The schedule features 13 dates at 12 different tracks across six provinces. The slate includes tracks and events familiar to the series, but there are some new components.

We wanted to be sure to let our neighbors north of our border know that there is a CANADIAN MOTORSPORTS EXPO being held this coming weekend in Toronto, Ontario at the International Centre.
The dates are January 16th, 17th, and 18th.
It is the Toronto region’s only dedicated motorsports show.

MONTREAL – Defending NAPA 100 champion Kerry Micks set a track record in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Sirius Satellite Radio qualifying at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The driver out of Mount Albert, Ontario worked his way around the 14-turn, 2.710-mile road course in 106.664 seconds for an average lap speed of 91.465 mph.
It was Micks’ (No. 02 Beyond Digital Imaging Ford) first pole of the 2008 season and the third of his Canadian Tire Series career.

Series returns to TSN with coverage of all 13 races
Season kicks off on May 30 with Crown Jewel 200
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 14, 2008) – For the second consecutive season, TSN, Canada’s Sports Leader, will be the exclusive broadcast partner of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Sirius Satellite Radio.

TSN will nationally televise 13 one-hour broadcasts – one for each of the Series’ 13 races. Coverage gets underway on May 30 at 12 midnight ET with the Crown Jewel 200, the first race of the season, taking place on the speedy 5/8-mile oval at Cayuga International Speedway.
