A planned set up went wrong for one team and went great for another. The “Cheap Shot” I am referring to is the one that ended up happening this past Saturday night at Richmond International Raceway. Does anyone ever wonder if not into the too far distant future that Petty Enterprises might be considering selling or maybe merging with another owner? It makes me wonder if the move to Mooresville was for some not yet surfaced reasons too. There seems to be a lot going on and not going on at their camp. I guess they are having a difficult time trying to figure out what penalty to hand out for the failed post race inspection by the 99 team. Surely they are not even going to consider NO penalty. If they only take away 25 points it would be like no penalty. Nothing would surprise me though. I am fortunate to own more than one of those 1998 die-cast in my collection of Earnhardt memorabilia. Continue reading “Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s 1998 Commemorative Die-cast a COT?“ I have read only a few comments on the Internet since the running of the Bud Shootout about Mrs. Gordon, who was standing by Jeff and playing with his hair during the singing of our National Anthem. I have read more comments in groups of NASCAR fans that I am a member of who this upset more then the news media it seems, including long time Jeff Gordon fans.
