Dale Jr. - “I think it’s gonna be fun having some new teammates and the whole thing I’m looking forward to is just getting to know all the guys in the shop and working with new guys, just it’s always fun kind of getting to know people and you see them walking around in the garage and you don’t know what they’re like and then you get to work with them and turn out to be pretty cool guys, so that should be pretty fun…Jeff and Jimmie seem like they’re pretty excited about us coming over there….I can’t wait to be an asset and do things to help the motor sports program over at Hendrick and help Jeff and Jimmie.”

Caller - “What is your greatest accomplishment at DEI?”

Dale Jr. - “The Daytona 500 probably….We put so much into trying to win that race for several years and I think that was an attainable goal….We felt we should be able to win that race….We had so many good cars going down there year after year and to win it man was just amazing…I can’t explain the feeling you get when you win that race and what’s that like…It’s amazing and all the team just being there on the front straightaway and all the team running out to the car and seeing everybody so happy, it’s great when you see all your guys that happy.”
