Fox Sports commentator Darrell Waltrip had some surprising things to say about the Chase, and the changes that might be made to it in the near future.

I’m sick of the Chase. I’m sick of them monkeying with it. I wish they would say, “We don’t like it, we’re not going to use it anymore, go back to the way it used to be and you can race 36 races and you can be the champ.”

    DW out there doing his usual stuff, wavering in the wind. It amazed me listening to that whole deal. After years of telling all of us fans how WONDERFUL the chase is and how stupid we all were because we didn’t like it, NOW DW and Larry suddenly have this epiphany.

    Larry even said on the video that “the fans really don’t like it”. Well darn, Larry, where the heck have you been for the past several years?

    I’m expecting these 2 to be called on the carpet by NASCAR. Since Larry didn’t have a backbone the last time to stand by his comments made to Dustin Long, I expect he’ll back down again and DW will shift his position to whatever NASCAR tells him it should be.

    NASCAR and the rest of the talking heads have lost their credibility. The ratings and attendance speak for themselves and its NOT all the economy, is it?
