We sit here every year around this time wondering what changes will come when the Sprint Cup Series schedule is released. This year we have been hearing things about races changing dates and speculation about tracks that may get a new date. NASCAR’s commercials use the tag line “where the best prove it” so the schedule should allow the champion to say they are the best.
Here is my proposed 2010 Sprint Cup Schedule. This schedule removes all of the corporate stuff and makes the best really prove it.

Not only is there a more diverse selection of race tracks the off weekends are spaced more evenly. Every type of track is represented in the Chase and the number of tracks with multiple dates is greatly reduced.
Will this schedule ever be put in place in NASCAR, probably not, but I would love to see a somewhat more diversified schedule. What do you think?

This is such [censored] I wasted my time reading this non-sense. This would appear to be another example of the media’s inflated opinion of themselves.
10/10 Darlington. Drop the road race. That is really snoozeville at its worst.
Interesting.. but WAY too many Saturday night races. Saturday night races kill the local short tracks… Cup races are for Sunday.
Dude! You like to freeze your bottom off? Why all the Saturday night races in November? I live in Houston, which is usually hotter than Dallas. It’s too cold at night in November. They have been lucky so far with that weekend. About every 5 years on average that weekend gets a cold spell. In 2000 it was around freezing during the day. Phoenix would be bad, too. The desert gets cold at night.
