OK, I’ll be first. I thought that the introduction of the COT to Bristol was a non-event, other than the discovery that the splitter can take out someone else’s tire. Oh, and the fuel pump cable problem that JGR’s drivers had. There is a rumor floating around that Richard Childress was overheard on his radio during that last lap (when Jeff Burton drove clean vs. Kyle Busch) saying that he misses Dale Earnhardt, but that has not been confirmed.

C.O.T. Over hyped and too soon to tell.
Had to chuckle when Kyle Busch said “I don’t like the C.O.T., after he won…”
I, too miss Dale SR. NASCAR will never be the same…

I enjoyed the race until Tony Stewart had fuel pump issues. I did think it was humorous that the two most outspoken drivers against the C.O.T. qualified 1st and 4th (Jeff Gordon and Tony).
I actually enjoyed the entire race, just because my favorite driver goes out doesn’t stop me from watching. I actually kind of like the car, especially the wing on the back. I did think tht what Kyle Busch said a out the car after winning the race was a bit inappropriate.

While the COT did not prove much except the rear deck tether works, it did prove that these guys will drive anything you put them in. And the teams are working hard to find a way to make them drive better. The team that figures that out, will jump out to leads a la Stewart at Bristol every race. I used to think the playing field would be more level but that did prove to be the case at Bristol. We will see what happens at Martinsville.
Texas will aslo be interesting since they go back to the old cars and we’ll see what happens after 2 races in the COT, back to the old cars and then back to the COT. Will anything be learned that is useful? I am not sure since each track is so different than another on the COT schedule so far. Isn’t Phoenix the next COT race after Martinsville?
