DAVID GRIFFIN / NASCAR SCENE / SCENE DAILY
Matt Kenseth “not” a nice guy? C’mon, I don’t believe it …..
This is not the first time that [Kenseth’s] done something like this.
Everybody has this great vision that Matt Kenseth is this nice guy on the race track.
He is a nice guy away from the track.
But he’s a rough driver on the race track when he doesn’t have to be.
This is not the first time but it will be the last time.
We’ll have a discussion.
– Dale Jarrett on Sunday, after Matt Kenseth bumped him and caused him to crash out of the race at Bristol

I’ve also heard bad things about Kenseth on the track….
i’ve heard that he’s really nasty with his pit crew, puts a lot of blame on them for his shortcomings…

Who cares what D.J. thinks he is a has-been,sellout toyoto owns.

Everybody forgets last year when Jarrett held up Kenseth in the same race at Bristol and cost Kenseth the win. Back then everybody was saying how Kenseth should have moved Jarrett out of the way. Can’t please people…
Bottom line Kenseth is a fair driver…he’ll race you the way you race him. The way I saw the deal he was holding his line and DJ came down on him. Racin’ at Bristol is all it was… DJ had no call to say what he did and it made him sound like a bitter old has-been.

Big difference between moving a guy at the end of a race and just plain being an impatient idiot 40 laps into a 500 lap race. Use your head. Matt Kenseth is a no-class act. I’m not a big Jeff Gordon fan, but there’s a good reason why he practically knocked Matt on his can. Dale Jarrett is a better driver than Matt anyday. I would love to see Matt try to run competively in a Waltrip car. I’m sure all we would hear is whining and crying.

the best way to keep Toyota off the race track is to keep knocking them out
March 27th, 2007 at 4:03 pm
Why is everyone so opposed to Toyota??? They are assembled in the United States while parts of Ford and Chevrolet are built in Mexico and Canada, not to mention Daimler-Chrysler from Germany.

Sorry I can’t agree with your assessment as Kenseth did not deliberately move Jarrett — the #17’s nose was already in front and was holding his line. Do you have the race on tape as I do? If so, go back and stop the action - cound’t be more plain.
Point #2 is that DJ’s comments were out of line, if anybody is a whiner it’s him…he sounded ridiculous as Kenseth is one of the most patient drivers out there. If not he would have knocked Jarrett out of the way last year the way he should have. Lead, follow or get out of the way Jarrett…

When going backward, it’s because others are going “passed” you.

The best way to keep Toyota from running well is just make sure they keep plenty of Jarretts on the payroll!!!!!

when Kenseth was in the Busch, he was a whiner and he has not changed. I have never cared for him, Jarrett has always been a class act. He is a true gentleman. Kenseth is just luck he races for big bucks Roush
