Heading to Loudon, Carl Edwards trails by 127 points behind Kyle Busch and hopes to close the gap in the NASCAR Nationwide Series point standings. Carl finished in the top five at this race last year and hopes to take home the win Saturday when the race starts at 3PM on the ABC network.
Also hoping for a good finish is Brad Keselowski who’s in third place in the standings. There’s plenty of time for Brad to make up ground in the points and possibly be fighting for the series title by the end of the year. Brad has a new determination this year with his first Cup win in Talladega and a Nationwide Series win at Dover. He’s having a great year, not only the one win, but 8 top fives, and 10 top ten’s. If Busch and Edwards sputter at all, Brad will be there, ready to pounce.
Jason Leffler is fourth, 46 points behind Brad, and Joey Logano is fifth, a whopping 267 points behind Leffler. Logano trails this far behind because he only has 12 starts compared to the others 15 starts. Joey has two wins, 7 top fives, and 9 top ten’s. If he had run all 15 races, he would be close to the leaders.
Carl needs to pull out this Ortho #60 Defense car, and like it says on the hood, “Defend What’s Yours”.
