Next up for the NASCAR Nationwide Series is the fast and furious race at Nashville Superspeedway. Nashville always brings an exciting race with its high banks and concrete surface. Strategy plays a big part there because the abrasive surface makes teams use tires wisely and they don’t want to end up with their last stop and not having any tires left for the end of the race.
The last race held at Nashville, Brad Keselowski made a late pass for the lead from David Stremme and took his first win claiming the famous and beautiful Gibson guitar that each and every driver would love to have as a trophy. The Gibson Les Paul edition guitar is hand painted by artist Sam Bass. Keselowski crossed the finish line just under two seconds ahead of Stremme with David Reutimann a close third.
Nashville has produced seven first time winners in the now called Nationwide Series.
This year, Nashville Superspeedway is introducing an “All Access” pass for its season ticket holders which will be very fan friendly. Regular ticket holders can purchase the pass for a additional cost. “All Access” will provide race fans with a pre-race opportunity to access areas of the infield that have been restricted in the past. All access features include pre-race garage access that will give fans the opportunity to see garage and pit road activities on race day before the race begins. NASCAR will enforce a dress code of no open toed shoes, shorts, or sleeveless shirts while in the pit and garage areas, for safety reasons.
Fans will also be able to attend the drivers meeting, and have front stretch track access with race cars staged, in qualifying order, on the front stretch for fans to be able to have their picture made standing beside their favorite cars.
This is a rare opportunity for fans to connect with the sport in a way that is unique to other tracks. With the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series off this weekend, it would be a perfect time to visit the Nashville Superspeedway and enjoy a great weekend of racing and get closer to the action than ever before.
