It all started with practice, from a ti-re I hear
When Stewart took another, hard jab at Goodyear
Then the starting ceremony, felt like it went on forever
If they’d just started sooner, we could have beaten the weather
On lap 9 we saw, caution number 1
When Ragan bumped Almirola and then his car spun
Yellow number 2, for competition that’s all
But number 3 was when Kvapil, said hello to the wall
Newman comes down pitroad, to get tires and be gone
But the jack falls and the crew can’t get the left side ones on
Lagano t-bones the wall, caution 4′s under-way
Welcome to Sprint Cup, are you enjoyin’ your stay?
Lap one hundred ten, we hear reports say
The rain is between twenty and forty minutes away
Somethin’ was brewin’, and it wasn’t the rain
Vickers and Jr were about to enter-tain
Vickers blamed Jr and Jr blamed him back
Blockin’ and bumpin’ then he was sent up the track
Into the traffic to cause a ten car pile
Which then eliminated, and strong runnin’ Kyle
Vickers said Jr won’t be penalized, and that’s kind of sad
Apparently he wanted a caution pretty bad
Now let’s lay off Jr., he had a bad time
From missin’ his pit stall to parkin’ on the line
Caution number 7 involves Paul Menard
Who caught Burton’s nose, and hit the wall kinda hard
Almirola goes spinnin’ but not not due to rain
Yellow number 8 was for his contact with Kahne
They cut to commercials and say they’ll be right back
And the next thing I see are Jet Dryers on the track
The cars were on pit road and covered with care
It’s funny I don’t see, that silly Digger anywhere
They officially declared, at 6:49
Mother Nature and Kenseth have won at this time
I wish one of them stock cars, would knock Digger out cold
It was mildly entertaining, but now it’s grown old
I don’t care ’bout his camera, or him beatin’ it with a wrench
How come ten cars fly by him, before you see him flinch
What has racin’ come to, with cartoons on the screen
And pitbox numbers painted pink and bright green
They used to throw their helmets and slug it out on the track
Good Amer-i-can racin’ and I want it back
Well it is what it is, but it’s still sad to say
That was the Daytona 380, 500, Sun-day
