Let’s Go Racin’, Boys!

It’s been a long winter without any racing on TV and what little news that has come from the news media has been doom and gloom. I’m just ready for some racing.

The field is almost set for all the racing action at Daytona in all three NASCAR Series, the ARCA boys (and girls) have been working all winter for their big race and fans are ready.

The first practice for the Shootout will be aired Friday at 4:00 P.M. The final practice will air at 6:30 P.M. With just two practice sessions, the Bud Shootout will be Saturday evening at 8:00 P.M. live on Fox. The entire day Friday is full of NASCAR Live and Trackside shows. Check the listings so you don’t miss anything.

This is what we’ve been waiting all winter for and business is picking up. The next week will be full of Cup, Nationwide, and Truck Series practice, qualifying, and racing. Not to mention the ARCA race in the mix as well.

If, in the next week, you haven’t had your appetite for racing filled, I don’t think it can be. Usually, by the time the checkered flag is thrown for the Daytona 500 race, my eyes are all but bleeding from all the TV watching and the wife is ready to take the television back by force.

It may take watching every minute of NASCAR shows, between now and the 500, so we’ll be able to know who’s in which car, with which sponsor, with which team, with all the changes made during the off season. I’m ready and excited to get going.

The snacks have been bought, the cooler is filled, all chores and ‘honey do’s’ have been completed, the bills have been paid and mailed (especially the Direct TV bill), the big screen has been cleaned, I think I’ve got my ducks in a row for my favorite time of the year, the Daytona 500.
