Reward for wins may rise

NASCAR officials say they’ve spent the past few weeks running the numbers to determine whether more points should be awarded to race winners.

They also could increase the number of drivers participating in the 10-race Chase for the Nextel Cup, the season-ending 10-driver contest that determines the series champion.

I think that anyone who wins a race should at least get 50 more points than the next driver . The reason for racing is to WIN not trying to get on a points position. If this was done , racing would be a lot different—it would be racing to the max; not what you saw last year—which was a points race.
